Day 2 Hong Kong

Activities for today: Victoria Peak, Repulse Bay and Stanley Market, and Aberdeen Fishing Village

Morning half day Island tour to visit the Victoria Peak, Repulse Bay and Stanley Market, and Aberdeen Fishing Village. Free for your own exploration or shopping in the afternoon.

Day 3 Hong Kong/Guilin

Activities for today: Airport transfer (HK, Guilin)

Transfer to the airport for the flight to Guilin. Upon your arrival in Guilin, meet the tour guide at the airport and transfer to hotel check in. Free evening for your own leisure.

Day 4 Guilin

Activities for today: Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunk Hill

After breakfast at the hotel, free at leisure in the morning. In the afternoon, meet the guide and pay a visit to the Reed Flute Cave, known as "Natural Art Gallery", and then visit the symbol of Guilin - Elephant Trunk Hill. The shape of the rock is just like a giant elephant drinking water from river with its trunk, hence the name. Standing atop the rock, you can see the beautiful panoramic view of the town. Free evening for your own exploration.

Day 5 Guilin / Yangshuo

Activities for today: Li River Cruise to Yangshuo, West Street

After breakfast at the hotel, meet the guide and drive about 40 minutes to Zhujiang Pier, and take a cruise on the Li River (about 3.5-4 hours) and enjoy a simple Chinese buffet lunch on board. Upon arrival at the small town Yangshuo in the afternoon. Check in your hotel and free for your own exploration (perhaps strolling or shopping for some souvenirs along the West Street).

Recommended evening activity: Impression Liu Sanjie, an outdoor night show, performing on the Li River.

Day 6 Yangshuo

Activities for today: Cycling Tour to the Countryside, Bamboo Rafting

In the morning, your guide will rent bikes (city bike or mountain bike) for you. Ride a bicycle to visit the nearby countryside of Yangshuo (about 2 hours). Lunch is arranged at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, take a bamboo rafting tour on Yulong River (about 1.5 hours). The Yulong River is also called "lesser Li River". It winds its way in a picturesque valley sided by limestone hills where you can see the rice files, water buffalos... Free evening for your own leisure.

Day 7 Yangshuo/Guilin/Kunming

Activities for today: Airport transfer (Guilin, Kunming)

Free at leisure in Yangshuo until meet the guide and transfer to Guilin airport for the flight to Kunming.
Upon arrival in Kunming, meet the local guide at the airport and transfer to hotel check in. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.

Day 8 Kunming

Activities for today: Stone Forest, Western Hill, Dragon Gate

After breakfast at the hotel, meet the guide and drive to visit the Stone Forest. It is the most famous tourist attraction in Kunming - a typical formation of Karst topography. Lunch will be taken at a local Chinese restaurant. In the afternoon, explore the Western Hill and Dragon Gate (with one-way cable car). It is a beautiful forest park located by Dian Lake, and it features cliff-side grottoes cut out of the sheer stonewalls. Free evening in Kunming.

Day 9 Kunmin /Lijiang

Activities for today: Lijiang Old Town

In the morning, meet the guide and transfer to the airport for the morning flight to Lijiang.
Upon arrival in Lijiang, meet the local guide and transfer to the hotel check in. After a short rest, guide tour to explore the Lijiang Old Town. It was listed as the World Cultural Heritage Sites in 1997. The town was originally called Dayan Town. Built by Naxi People with unique cultural background, it is a very well preserved old town. Free evening for your own leisure.

Day 10 Lijiang

Activities for today: Tiger Leaping Gorge

Morning meet your English speaking guide and we'll drive to Qiaotou Town (2.5 hours), our Tiger Leaping Gorge trekking trip starts from here through High Trail, 28 zigzaging turns, total is 19km (about 8 hours).
From here, pick up your pony that will carry your luggage (a packed bag with 1 night necessities and the big luggage will be transferred to Tina’s House where you will finish the trekking and start driving to back to Lijiang) and start your trek. The trail raises alternating between forest and cultivated farmland. After 2 hours arrive in Naxi Family Guesthouse for your lunch. Immediately after lunch, it is the most challenging part of the trek as the trail rises steeply with “28 bends” to the top of the ride. From here on, you hike high up the valley along the gorge with the gushing river deep below. The view of the gorge and the Jade Dragon Mountain is stupendous from here on. Trekking about 4 hours to arrive at Old Tea Horse Guesthouse, your accommodation for the night. This family-run guesthouse offers simple clean room with attached shower and toilet.

Day 11 Lijiang

Activities for today: Tiger Leaping Gorge Trekking

Meet the guide in the morning (about 9.00am), and continue trekking to enjoy the view of the gorge and Jade Dragon Mountain. Arrive at Halfway Inn for a short rest at 10.30am. Continue walking downhill to Tina's House (about 3hrs), where you have lunch and then meet the driver and drive back to Lijiang.

Day 12 Lijiang/Chengdu

Activities for today: Shuhe Old Town, Black Dragon Pool Park, Naxi Dongba Culture Museum, airport transfer (Lijiang, Chengdu)

Today leisure guide tour to visit the Shuhe Old Town. It is the earliest settlement of Naxi People in Lijiang when their ancestors first moved to this region. Shuhe is less touristy and polished with more original characters. Lunch will be taken at a local Chinese restaurant. In the afternoon, explore the Black Dragon Pool Park and Dongba Museum. There are more than 10, 000 Dongba cultural relics and various other historical relics in the museum. Transfer to the airport for the evening flight to Chengdu.
Upon arrival in Chengdu, meet the guide and transfer to your hotel check in.

Day 13 Chengdu

Activities for today: Leshan Giant Buddha, Wenshu Temple

Today guide tour to visit the Leshan Giant Buddha. With 71m-high Giant Buddha, it is the largest stone-caved Buddha in the world and was included in the UNESCO heritage list in 1996. You will climb the Buddha Mountain, and take a short hiking. Drive back to the city in the afternoon, and visit the Wenshu Temple and nearby Old Street.

Day 14 Chengdu/Zhangjiajie

Activities for today: Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, Jinsha Site Museum, Jinli Old Street, airport transfer (Chengdu, Zhangjiajie)

Moring have a guided tour to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding to see the lovely China's ambassadors. This is a perfect place to see lovely giant pandas at their hometowns. After that, drive to explore the Jinsha Site Museum, a very impressive museum built at Jinsha Ruins, featuring various tools and art pieces from around 3,000 years ago. Free walk on the Jinli Old Street. Transfer to the airport for the later evening flight to Zhangjiajie. Upon arrival in Zhangjiajie, meet the guide and transfer to the hotel check in.

Day 15 Zhangjiajie

Activities for today: Tianmen Mountain, Yellow Dragon Cave

Morning drive to the Tiamen Mountain Nature Reserve, where you will experience a ride on the world’s longest cable car up to the summit of the mountain, taking in the spectacular scenery as you do so. Once at the summit take a hike (approximately 2 hours long) on the Plank Road alongside Guigu Cliffs. During the hiking, you can choose to experience the glass plank road built along a cliff with an extra expense (RMB20/pp). After the hiking, you will pay a visit to the Tiammen Temple and take the Forest Sightseeing cable car and back to the Tianmen Mountain cable car station and take the big cable car up to the middle station. And take a bus through the Tongtian Avenue to explore the Tianmen Cave.

In the afternoon, drive Wulingyuan Scenic Area and explore in the fantastic underground cave-Yellow Dragon Cave, hiking hiking about 2 hours in the cave.

Day 16 Zhangjiajie

Activities for today: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park

Spend the whole day to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. We will take a cable car to the Yellow Stone Village (Huangshizhai) for a 2 hours hiking on the mountain. After lunch at a local Chinese restaurant, proceed to the Golden Whip Stream – this charming valley is most likely to bring you into the pandora’s wonderland of the movie. You will have a leisure hiking about 2.5 hours. And then hiking through a grand valley (Baizhang Xia) and reach the sleepy Baofeng Lake for a short cruise. Around the lake area the beautiful cataracts are found in the film Avatar. Drive to your hotel for a leisure time.

Day 17 Zhangjiajie/Guangzhou

Activities for today: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, airport transfer (Zhangjiajie, Guangzhou)

Another full day explore the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. We will ascend the Yuanjiajie Mountain by taking the Bailong Elevator - a glass elevator built into the side of the mountain. On the summit, you will be taken on a 2.5 hours hiking to discover the Pillar of the southern sky. This mountain was used as inspiration for the famous ‘Hallelujah Mountains’ seen in the blockbuster movie, Avatar. In January 2010, this mountain was renamed the ‘Avatar Hallelujah Mountain’ by the local government. Proceed to the platform or Forgetfulness to enjoy the nearby peak views and then walk across a supernatural work – the No. 1 Bridge under Heaven. Climb up the “King of peaks” – Tianzi Mountain. From the unique peaks in the clusters here you will refind the mysterious setting of Avatar.
Take a cable car down the Tianzi Mountain, go on sightseeing along the dreamlike fairland – Ten-mile Natural Gallery. Lunch will be taken at a local Chinese restaurant. Drive back to your hotel for free time. Transfer to the airport for the evening flight to Guangzhou. Upon arrival in Guangzhou, meet the guide and transfer to your hotel check in.

Day 18 Guangzhou

Activities for today: Yue Xiu Park (Five Rams Statue), Chen Family Temple, Xiguan Old Houses, Qingping Market

Morning pay a visit to the Yuexiu Park, where you can see the Symbol of the city - Five Rams Statue. After that, process to visit the Chen Family Temple. Lunch will be taken at a local Chinese restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Xiguan Old Houses and Qingping market. Free for shopping on Beijing Road.

Day 19 Guangzhou Exit
