Tianlu Lou

Tianlu Lou was a communal Diaolou built in 1925 with the money subscribed by 9 households. The 7-storey Diaolou was constructed of reinforced concrete. The name of the building "Tianlu" literally means "blessing from the sky". The 29 rooms on the first to the fifth floors were maninly inhabited at night by the subscribers who wanted to be protected from banditry and kidnapping. Communal activity space and a lookout are found on the sixth and the seventh floor. In June 2001, the Tianlu Lou was declared by the State Council a protected Major National Cultrual Hertitage.
