Site of Xanadu

Site of Xanadu is located in the Plain Blue Banner of Xilin Gol League and Duolun County, in China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, covers an area of 251 square kilometers. Kublai Khan established Kaiping Government here in 1256 AD and promoted to Shang Du in 1263 AD, once as the first capital of Yuan Dynasty and Chatou.
