1.    Bell Tower and Drum Tower

Located in the downtown of Xi’an, the bell and drum towers are landmark buildings of the city. The two towers are confronting each other. Climb the Bell Tower from a ring-shaped tunnel, there is an iron clock built in Ming dynasty (1368-1644) situated on the northwest corner of the tower. When tap the clock, the melodious chimes disperse around. Stand on the two towers, people also can have a panoramic view of the four streets in the downtown of Xi’an. When darkness falls, the Bell Tower and Drum Tower are stately, ornate and mysterious in the colored lights. In addition, behind the Drum Tower, there is the Muslim Street, where you can find the most famous Xian local snacks.

2.    College Gate

College Gate is an antique cultural Street. Stepping on the spacious quartzite, you will enter an antique, exotica world. In the shops, you can see assortment of goods. There are the four treasures of the study, calligraphy, bronze wares, jade, folk art, such as shadow puppet, paper-cut, and hand-woven, etc. Also, on the roadside stalls, there are egg-like, dark musical instruments – Chinese Xun.

3.    Old City Wall

Erected in the 14th century in Ming Dynasty, Xi’an City Wall is the most complete city wall that has survived in China, as well being one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. After the extension, the wall now stands 12 meters tall, 12-14 meters wide at the top and 15-18 meters thick at the bottom. 4.    Terracotta Warriors

The Terracotta Warriors is considered the Eighth Wonder of the World. It is a collection of terracotta sculptures depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China. The three pits containing the Terracotta Army of more than 8,000 soldiers, 130 chariots with 520 horses and 150 cavalry horses. In its vicinity, there are Lishan, Huaqing Pool and other attractions.

5.    Famen Temple

The Famen Temple was established in the Eastern Han Dynasty (25--220). There are the most famous Buddhist temple and the biggest Buddhist pagoda in the world inside this scenic spot. The temple is renowned for storing the veritable finger bone relic of the Sakyamuni Buddha as well.

6.    Mt. Huashan

As one of the Five Sacred Mountains, Mt. Huashan stands to the south of Huayin City, 120 km east of Xi’an. It is famous for its egregious cliffs, mainly consists of five peaks which look like five petals of a flower. East Peak is 2,090 meters high above sea level,where is the best place to watch the sunrise.
