Beijing's Fayuan Architecture Museum Houses over 100 Exquisite Wooden Components

Fayuan Architecture Museum, a niche museum specializing in wooden components of ancient Chinese buildings, is situated at No.85 Dajiang Hutong, Qianmen East Road, Dongcheng District.

Located across from the archway of Dajiang Hutong, Fayuan Architecture Museum has a wide collection of over one hundred wooden components including columns, beams and carved windows, which are collected by the architect and artist Mr. Zhu Xiaodi from Shanxi, Shaanxi and Anhui.

There is also a temporary showroom in the museum, which currently houses the exhibition themed "Urban History, Environmental Preservation and Renewal Design".

In addition to appreciating wooden works, visitors can also enjoy the tranquility of a slower pace of life by reading books in the museum's study or at the café on the second floor.

The museum is open between 10:00 to 17:00 from Tuesday to Sunday and closed on Mondays. No admission is allowed after 16:30. Visitors can make a reservation via the official Wechat account of "Fayuan Architecture Museum".
