Peak Season Comes to Beijing with Record Number of Arrivals and Departures
The number of passengers passing through Beijing as a port of entry has increased steadily together with the rapid increase in the number of flights and optimized inbound and outbound management policies, with a current daily average surpassing 29,000. The number of inbound and outbound passengers for June exceeded 880,000, a 25.7 percent increase over the previous month and a new record for monthly passenger volume this year.
The arrival of summer has many airlines introducing new outbound travel routes, meaning passenger numbers should continue to increase.
The border inspection department reminds all inbound and outbound passengers to follow the guidance of staff and comport themselves in an orderly fashion at all border control checkpoints. Should passengers encounter any difficulties, they can seek assistance from on-duty police officers. For inquiries regarding entry and exit issues, passengers are suggested to call the National Immigration Administration's service hotline at 12367.
