China Eastern Airlines First to Launch Direct Flights Between Beijing Daxing International Airport and Singapore

On July 20, China Eastern Airlines became the first among its counterparts to launch direct flights between Beijing Daxing International Airport and Singapore.

The Airbus A330 has been designated to fly the route under the flight numbers MU5031 and MU5032. Outbound flights depart from Beijing Daxing International Airport at 15:40 every Thursday, Friday and Sunday and at 15:55 on other weekdays, arriving at Singapore Changi Airport at 22:15. Return flights depart from Changi Airport at 23:45 every day and land in Beijing Daxing International Airport at 6:00 the next morning.

According to a notice issued by the Chinese embassy in Singapore on July 23, beginning at 0:00 on July 26 (GMT+8), the Chinese government will resume its 15-day visa-free policy for Singaporean citizens who hold ordinary passports and enter China for purposes of business, tourism, family visits, and transit.

Visas which have been issued to Singaporean citizens will remain valid and previously submitted visa applications will be processed normally.
