China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda Dujiangyan Base

China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda Dujiangyan Base is located in Shiqiao Village, Qingchengshan Town, Dujiangyan, Sichuan Province. Aided by the Hong Kong SAR Government, it is the first research base which aiming to pandas’ rescue and disease prevention and control.

China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda Dujiangyan Base is about 0.51 km², with a total construction area of about 12,542 square meters. According to the function, it is divided into six regions: the giant panda rescue and quarantine area, giant panda disease control and research area, giant panda rehabilitation and training breeding area, public reception and education area, the natural vegetation area and office and logistics service area.

It is worth mentioning that the design of China Giant Panda Protection Research Center in Dujiangyan base is in accordance with the standards of green building three star award, and is close to the the giant panda habitat world heritage area, which has the suitable climate and natural environment for pandas live. Currently, the first batch of relief wild pandas have been living a happy life in the base. In the space here will meet 40 giant pandas’ living.
