The Liaoyang Temple in Fengdu Ghost City

The Liaoyang Temple was built in the reign of emperor Yongle in the Ming Dynasty about 500 years ago for the royal family to worship their royal family to worship their

ancestors and offer sacrifice to their forefathers. It was rebuilt in the early years of Qing Dynasty about 300 years ago to be used as a Buddhist temple. There is sitting Buddha and a reclinging Buddha in the front hall. There are three Buddhas representing three lifes of Sakyamuni. The statues of eighteen deciples of Buddha and the Buddhist guardian Weituo.
