Guilin Will Offer 72-hour Visa-free Transit Service

For the convenience of foreigners traveling to China, Guilin authority will offer 72-hour visa-free transit service to foreigners from 51 countries who are connecting flights at Guilin Liangjiang International Airport starting on July. 28, 2014. The 51 applicable countries are below: 

European Schengen Visa Member Countries (24)

Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland

Other European Countries (13) 

Russia, UK, Ireland, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania. 

American Countries (6) 

United States (USA), Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile. 

Oceanian Countries (2) 

Australia, New Zealand.

Asian Countries (6) 

South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Brunei, United Arab Emirates (U.A.E), Qatar. 

Requirements:

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Public Security of PRC, foreign travelers arriving at Guilin Liangjiang International Airport, must satisfy the following conditions to qualify under the 72-Hour Visa-Free Transit Policy:

◆ Travelers must be citizens of one of the 51 countries covered by the policy.

◆ Travelers must hold international travelers’ credentials proving their citizenship.

◆ Travelers must meet the entry conditions of their destination countries or regions.

◆ Travelers must hold continuing air tickets with confirmed dates and seats, indicating their intent to depart from the Guilin Liangjiang International Airport to a third country or region within 72 hours, or hold related certificates.

◆ Arrival and departure airlines must report to the frontier inspection authority. The Guilin General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection will authorize 72-hour visa-free transit stays for travelers only if all these conditions are fulfilled.
