Museum of Wuyi Mountain

The Museum of Wuyi Mountain is located in the north shore of Jiuquxi (Nine-bend Stream) Yiqu Pier. The museum is two layers pavilion-style imitation building of Song Dynasty (960-1279), with a construction area of 1,400 square meters, is an important outreach window of Wuyishan City. The Museum's location is vast in horizons and beautiful in scenery, has been one of the main attractions in Wuyishan.

The Museum of Wuyi Mountain is a local comprehensive class museum, consisting of three halls and corresponding supporting facilities. It has rich collections, especially in ship coffin, hongqiao plate, stone tools, bronze ware, ancient ceramics and paintings.

The Relics in Museum of Wuyi Mountain

There are two exhibition halls of historical and cultural showroom in upstairs and downstairs. The ground floor exhibition halls are the first part of the history and culture, showing the history of the early development of Wuyishan. Which main exhibit relics are ship coffin, hongqiao panels, funerary goods (replica) and Neolithic relics, such as stone axes, stone arrows, stone net sinkers, Neolithic site model, etc. The upper floors exhibition hall is divided into three parts, showing Wuyishan unique Minyue culture, physical culture and rock tea culture. The main exhibits are various dynasties unearthed cultural relics.

Nature showroom exhibition hall has 140 square meters, with a large number of plant and animal pictures and specimens showing Wuyishan beautiful natural scenery and rich natural resources. In addition, the museum also set up a "Wuyi Technology" exhibition hall, showing and selling antiques, jade, calligraphy, etc.

In addition to the regular visiting of the museum's precious collections, special activities are also can be fortunate enough to meet here, including Wuyi Boat-shaped Coffin lifting demonstration and take part in pottery making.
