A hiking trip along the beautiful Li River is an exciting experience in Guilin.
For hiking along Li River, people normally take a bus from Yangshuo Bus Station or Guilin Railway Station (both take about 1 hour) to Yangdi Lukou (Yangdi intersection), and then change a minibus (15-20 minutes, ¥2-5) to the Yangdi pier. From the pier you need to buy a ticket (¥16, keep the ticket! It will use in next ferry) for the ferry boat to a village, from the village you take another ferry boat (or raft) to cross the river. From there you will take 3 hours to hike through the villages, orchards, rice fields, and walk along the mountain trails by the river to a pier. In the pier, you have to cost ¥10-12 to buy a ferry ticket, the government ships will take you to the opposite bank. From there, a final walk to Xingping Town is about 40 minutes. In Xingping Bus Station, you can find many minibus to Yangshuo.
