Harbin Zhaolin Park has a long history, founded in 1906. The construction of the park has gone through four stages, first built named "the Board Park ", later changed to "Special City Park", after liberation renamed "Dao Li Park". On March 9, 1946, the generals Li Zhaolin buried here, and then named "Zhaolin Park "by the Heilongjiang provincial government.

Harbin Zhaolin Park is situated in the bustling heart of the city, surrounded by skyscrapers, across the road with the beautiful Songhua River, the park covers an area of 8.4 hectares, is a sacred place for leisure for Harbin people , the magnificent "Ice Lantern Garden Party" attract many foreign tourists from around the world.

Due to Harbin unique climatic conditions, Zhaolin Park forms two completely different nature scenes in summer and winter. 

In summer, here is pleasant scenery with tree-lined, full bloom flowers. The unique garden park "Bei Garden", "Lunar Reflections Garden", "Little South Island," "Clove Garden" are with different features and truly fascinating.

In winter, the annual Harbin Ice Lantern Art Fair (aka Harbin Ice Lantern Show) held here, where ice world and a sea of lights became. Industrious and talented people use the unique natural advantages of snow; use the combination of modern science and technology and snow ice garden, through the distinctive craftsmanship, to create exquisitely carved ice and snow art. Today, the Zhaolin Park has become a held land of the famous Harbin Ice Lantern Art Fair. It has formed a large-scale outdoor project for Ice Art Exhibition in the world.
