Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils Film City

The Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils Film City in Dali, Yunnan is a provincial tourism resort and also the shooting base for the TV drama Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils.

The artificial Chinese ancient city was originally built to accommodate the shooting of the television series Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils. It is cost 110 million RMB to construct the city. The whole film city covers an area size of about 115 acres. The park was opened in 2002 with different stages of constructions.

Attractions

The city has sections demonstrating different dynasties such as Song (960-1279), Xixia (1038-1227) and Liao (916-1125). Tourists can pick up replica weapons for closer examination. Visitors to the imperial palace can also pay a fee to don the emperor's robes and sit on the throne.

The whole film city consists of three components: the first part of the Dali Kingdom, including Dali Street, Dali Palace, Zhengnan Palace; second part is the Liao State, including gates and size of the Liao street; The third part is the Xixia palace and Jurchen tribes.
