Dressing Terrace of the Circular Mound Altar
Before the ceremony of worshipping Heaven began, on the terrace was erected a Yellow brocade canopy which housed a throne. The emperor came here, washed his hands and put on the blue ceremonial dress, and then waited for the opening of the ceremony. After the ceremony, he returned here and changed clothes before he left for the Imperial Palace, and hence the popular name of "the Clothes-Changing Terrace."
